Over Thinking Damages Your Putting

Isn’t this what Bob Rotella has been telling us all along?

A study from St Andrews University including the University of Michigan has concluded that over thinking and over analysing putts has a detrimental effect n the outcome.

The researchers think the loss of performance was due to an effect called verbal overshadowing, which makes the brain focus more on language centres rather than on brain systems that support the skills in question.

    There isn’t much info out there about the Callaway Bobby Jones series of putters so I didn’t know what to think of them at first. Now after owning & using this one for a bit I can say they’re definitely worth a look. I got a spectacular deal on mine that I couldn’t pass up, but they can still be had on eBay occasionally for reasonable prices. Great quality, looks fantastic, and putts like a charm. It just goes to show that it doesn’t have to say Scotty Cameron on it for it to be a good putter. ;)
